Enriched air, commonly called Nitrox, is a blend of oxygen and nitrogen that has a higher percentage of oxygen than normal air. The extra oxygen means that you don't absorb nitrogen as quickly at depth, meaning you can extend your no-decompression time. The course takes one evening theory session, then one day with two dives.

$395 course includes:

• PADI materials and certification
• Training with PADI Instructor
• 2 Open Water Dives (for this course, normally Ex-HMAS Brisbane, Mooloolaba)

Special $345 course includes:

• PADI materials and certification
• Training with PADI Instructor
• 2 Open Water Dives (Gold Coast)
• PADI Fish ID certification and instruction

The PADI Enriched Air Diver course is PADI’s most popular specialty scuba diving course, and it’s easy to see why. Scuba diving with enriched air nitrox gives you more no decompression dive time. This means more time underwater, especially on repetitive scuba dives.

You can typically stay down longer and get back the water sooner. No wonder many divers choose this as their very first specialty.
