Cook Island is located 600m offshore from Fingal Head and and four kilometres southeast of Tweed Heads, at the southern end of the Gold Coast. Cook Island boasts a plentiful amount of marine life including nudibranchs, eels, rays, octopus, turtles, clown fish, bulleyes, gropers, leather jackets, parrot fish, puffer fish, surgeon fish, sweetlips and trevally. The area is also host to migratory life such as the blind sharks, grey nurse sharks, leopard sharks, shovel nose sharks and wobbegongs.
